The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) are a group of autonomous
public medical colleges of higher education. These institutes have been
declared by Act of Parliament as institutions of national importance. AIIMS New
Delhi, the fore-runner parent excellence institution, was established in 1956.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh (AIIMS Rishikesh) is a
medical college, Hospital and medical research public university, based in
Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India.The Institute operates autonomously under the
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. AIIMS started its academic sessions in
August 2012 in all; there are 50 students in the first batch of the MBBS career
at the AIIMS Rishikesh. The B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing course is started at College
of Nursing, AIIMS Rishikesh in academic session of August, 2013 with annual intake
of 60 students. The 200-bed hospital at AIIMS Rishikesh was inaugurated by then
Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on 10 February 2014.

Qualification: Aspirants required Post wise minimum Educational qualifications are given below
Senior
Resident:
For
Medical Candidates:
- Candidates must have completed postgraduate medical degree viz. MD/MS/MDS in the respective discipline from a recognized University / Institution.
Non-Medical Candidates (only for Department of Anatomy):
- Candidates should possess M.Sc. Degree in the subject concerned
- PhD in the subject concerned/allied subject from a recognized University/ Institute.
Junior Residents (Non Academic):
- The candidates should have passed MBBS (including completion of Internship) or equivalent degree recognized by MCI.
- MCI/State Registration is mandatory before joining, if selected.
- Only those candidates who have passed MBBS (including internship) not earlier than two years before the last date of submission of application form i.e. 20.03.2016 will be considered. It implies that those who have completed MBBS or equivalent course (including completion of residency) between 20.03.2014 to 19.03.2016 only will be considered.
